Woburn Sands Information and Advice Service

I thought that you might be interested to know that Woburn Sands Town Council is now funding a free Information and Advice Service for local residents at the Woburn Sands Library. Although the service is operated by Age UK the service is open to all local residents, of any age.

Information and Advice is an independent, confidential service designed to play a supporting role in improving the quality of life. It enables people to secure their rights and entitlements, make informed choices about public services and play a full role in their communities and society.

Examples of the types of issues the service can assist with include;

• Funding information and advice services
• Money and benefits advice
• Social care advice
• Housing advice
• practical support schemes, e.g. handyperson
• hospital aftercare
• counselling
• healthy living activities
• befriending/visiting schemes

The Information and Advice drop in service operates in the Woburn Sands Library on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings 10:00 till 12:30 hrs. Should you require any additional information regarding this unique service please contact Paula Williams – Senior Caseworker whose direct line is 01908 557884
