EVENTS - THURSDAY 2 JUNE 22

Cream Tea, 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm at St Mary’s Church Rectory Garden, MK17 8LW.

Community Beacon lighting Event, 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm at Wavendon Recreation Ground, Walton Road, Wavendon, MK17 8LH. Entertainment provided by Richard Owen (Country & Blues singer).

An Oak tree donated by Wavendon Volunteers will be planted by a respected local resident at 8.45 pm. 

The gas beacon event will take place at 9.30 pm and will be conducted by the Chair of Wavendon Parish Council, Cllr David Hopkins who light the beacon.

EVENTS - FRIDAY 3 JUNE 2022

Community Picnic, from 2.30 pm at Wavendon Recreation Ground, Walton Road, Wavendon, MK17 8LH (with people asked to bring chairs, tables, games, own food & drink). Entertainment by The Woburn Sands Band.

Bake off Competition for all parishioners including children, with the judging final taking place during the picnic. 

Celebration cakes to be taken to Wavendon Community Centre between 2-2.30pm. Judging will start at 2.30pm. Cakes can be collected afterwards and enjoyed! 3 categories: adult, children’s and free from. Rosettes to be won and glory to be had!

EVENTS - SATURDAY 4 JUNE 2022

Girls and Boys football tournament at Wavendon Recreation Ground in the morning and is being organised by Woburn & Wavendon FC. There will be two mini tournaments, 5 U8’s teams drawn from the wildcats programme, then 5 U6’s Mixed teams who are also beginner teams. 

Arrangements are being made to hold a dog event in the afternoon featuring Jumps, weaving poles and a tunnel, a scurry with bales (netting surrounding), a closed in area with how many toys can you retrieve, introduction to scent, fastest recall or temptation alley, a rally course and dummy retrieves. Bring your dog for a Jubilee dog jolly - NO COST - all welcome fin for dogs and owners.

This will take place on Wavendon Recreation Ground, Walton Road, Wavendon, MK17 8LH commencing at 3.00 pm. There will be a display at 3.15 pm by a Cruft's Obedience Winner.
